Urology is a medical and surgical specialty which aims at treating mild and severe diseases of the urinary system and male reproductive system such as:

- Stones in the urinary tract
- Prostate adenomas
- Cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney, testicle)

Treatments can be medical and/or surgical.

Surgical treatments depend on the disease and organ affected (prostate, bladder, kidney, testicle, etc.)
They can be:

- Endoscopic surgery: intervention through natural orifices.
- Laparoscopic surgery: prostatectomy, genital prolapse, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, nephrectomy, etc.
- Extracorporeal lithotripsy (shock wave treatment of stones).
- Open surgery.

The hospital has also invested in a Digital Laser Flexible Ureteroscope to eliminate the 20% stones that the lithotripter may fail to remove.

Prostate laser surgery is used to perform total removal of the prostate adenoma (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia).
